Sincerely, The iPhone

Allergy testing. One of the most uncomfortable experiences in the world and I've been doing these babies since I came out of the womb! Still deathly allergic to peanuts, no surprise there!

Women's conference with my sister and mom!

Don't mind that I look like a complete crazy person in this pic! But ran into Ludim down at city creek! She lives in an area that Tyler was serving in a looong way back and would send me pics of him! This girl is so sweet! What are the odds that we would run into each other?!

Got a matching "T" mug at anthropologie to match my "E" one.

If you've never been to "La Costa" you should definitely go. Mexican food is my favorite and boy do they have such good food! I'm already craving it as I'm typing this!

My dog Ivy. She is the cutest thing that has ever graced this earth.

My newest obsession. Collecting records for my new record player! These artists sound ten times better on vinyl!

 Church-goin' with the sissy

This stuff. Right here. Is heavenly. I'm allergic to nutella so this is basically nutella without the hazel nuts. I should have never tried this stuff because there's no going back now!

My Happy Place

I love the mountains. Living in Utah I'm completely spoiled by getting to be surrounded by gorgeous mountains. I'm always down for a hike in the forest, camping underneath the stars, or just exploring my surroundings on a new adventure. I grew up in a very adventurous family and I can't tell you how many times we've pulled off the road to search for some waterhole, waterfall, rock cave or just gorgeous view. I grew up loving to camp and loving the thrill exploring new places with or without a plan. I'm also one of those crazy people who love smelling like campfire smoke :) It also might be the feeling of peace being in nature, secluded from the world. Either way any chance I can get to venture to the mountains I take it! (Most of my favorite photo spots are in the mountains of course ;)

What's Your Color?

To start off, I need to send a huge thank you out to my family and friends who are constantly my models for all my crazy school projects. You never know what you're going to get yourself into when you model for me for a school project. Seriously. I've dumped paint all over people, made models trespass on occasion, almost set my garage on fire (really it was so close) made them sit in a warm tub that quickly turned freezing, stand in a pool while people were IN the pool, have crazy make-up and hair and these guys are always willing to help me out and go along with my crazy ideas. So thank you thank you THANK YOU!

This series of photographs is a project I worked on from January to April for a Color Photography class at UVU. It ended up being my favorite class that I have ever taken at UVU for many reasons! It was fun, had the most incredible professor, and I got to do whatever the heck I wanted for the final which is a huge bonus when you're an art major ;) So I chose to photograph people in an abstract or interesting way to display their favorite color or a color I thought looked amazing on them or reminded me of them! I loved the way these turned out and I learned so much from this class it's ridiculous!

There's Something About A Meadow

Peaceful. A place to sit and think awhile.
A place where you feel small amidst something larger than yourself.
You see weeds, I see flowers.
A sea of white and green nonetheless.
There's something about a meadow.

School's Out Baby!!

Nothing makes me happier than those words!! This semester is OVER! And boy was it a tough one! Only 2 more semesters to go baby!! And absolutely ZERO to go without Tyler being with me! So excited to finally concentrate on this crazy busy wedding season that's been creeping up on me! I have been so blessed this year to have the best clients and brides a girl could ask for! I can't wait to photograph every single one of their weddings! These couples just make my life so much fun!!

P.S. I decided to try my hand at designing my friend Delaina's new personal blog! I am obsessed with branding (especially my own photography business)  So I had a lot of fun with it. It's simple, organic, and free-spirited. Everything that I love and adore! If you want to check it out here is the address!!

3 More Months and How to Deal ;)

I honestly cannot believe there are only 3 more months until my best friend is home. I remember everyone telling me that once he had only 3 months left out there, that he was basically home! So far the whole entire mission has just flown by! But the last couple months have been really hard because I'm just getting so excited for him to come home!

If I had any tips or advice for anyone who is in this same situation they would probably be the following!

1. Keep bussssy! So so so busy!! Seriously, the time has just flown by and it's because I've been so busy with things back here while he's been out having an incredible mission! We've both grown so much and have grown closer together because we've both been doing what we're supposed to do and learning and sharing it with each other!

2. "Don't Listen to Stupid People" this has become Tyler and I's motto over a long period time and it may sound kind of funny but it's true! Everyone and their dog knows a horror story about how so and so's relationship didn't work out, or how so and so dear john/janed their person, or how so and so's companion had a horrible experience. But you just can't compare your relationship to others! Everyone has their own story, trials, and relationship. Just worry about your own and you'll be totally fine :)

3. Stay optimistic!! I made it a priority not to dwell on the fact that there was so much time left until he was home. Instead, freak out that you have accomplished what you have so far!! Every month is freaking awesome!! Celebrate that! :)

4. Support each other like there's no tomorrow! If you're anything like me, this journey involves two people! Tyler is my number one fan in everything I do. He is constantly supporting me and encouraging me to follow my dreams. I encourage him that he can do anything out there on the mission he sets his mind to as well! He is hands down the hardest working missionary and I've never been so proud of him in my life. His heart is so huge and he loves the people he works with so much! He is a missionary superman! :)

Well, that's all the advice I can think of right now! :) I just love this boy so much and I'm crossing my fingers the last 3 months fly by as fast as all the others have!! :)

Breathe in, Breathe out

The end of the semester is always a challenge. At the moment I have 4 papers to write all about topics ranging from Richard Avedon, to Hellenistic Greek art, to depictions of Saints in the Baroque era, and one on classical Roman art. Trust me, I know what you're thinking. Why??? And honestly, I ask myself that every single day. Then there's a group presentation, 5 finals, and of course my photography business. Every semester I tell myself that this is the last time I'll ever do this to myself, that it just isn't worth losing my sanity. But the semester always ends and I always find myself signing up for the next one. It's such a weird cycle. The only comfort I find is that in just two more semesters I'll be done forever and I can focus 100% on expanding my business and following my dreams. So here's to everyone else who is struggling with the end of this beautiful, wonderful, incredible thing we call hell *cough* I mean school ;) xoxo

Sincerely a very stressed and tired, E.
