Pumpkin Pickin'

Literally trying to soak up every inch of this fall weather. The air is getting chillier and chillier and that means winter is right around the corner. I've been praying for the nice weather to just last until after November 20 (our wedding) but even if it's freezing that day, it will be the greatest day in the world :) Tyler and I went to a cute little patch to pick out our pumpkins this year. We brought our polaroid cameras and are slowly learning which light looks best in those things! It's trickier than we thought! We had a blast and are going to carve these pumpkins on halloween with our tradition of having a pumpkin gut fight to follow right after ;) Happy last week of this perfect month!

Moving On Out!

Finding a place to live in Provo is HARD! But let me rephrase that: finding a place to live in provo that is not a total dump and completely overpriced is hard!! Tyler and I constantly looked at KSL for apartment listings and went to check out so many disappointments! We finally found a listing that had no pictures but an amazing price and description (kinda sketchy right). So we went in blind crossing our fingers that it would work out. The price was way too good to be true so we were way nervous! But turns out the little apartment turned out to be JUST what we wanted and needed! We applied for the place and basically begged the manager to pick us. We got the phone call on my birthday that we got the apartment! It was seriously a blessing from above!! We've slowly been moving stuff into our apartment and it's been so much fun to finally have a place for just the two of us! We ADORE this place and I can't wait to post pics of it! Can November please come more quickly?!?

An October Love Affair

October is my favorite month of the entire year.
It's my birthday month and my all-time favorite holiday is Halloween! I love Halloween ten times more than Christmas!
The hardest part of being away from Tyler was always the fall.
I created a bucket list of all the things I wished I could do with him during that time and it's been a blast checking them all off! So far we've driven around the Alpine loop taking pictures of the fall leaves, been to Frightmares at Lagoon and went on a full-moon chairlift ride at sundance drinking hot chocolate the whole way up!
I am seriously just so in love with the fall leaves, sweaters, hot chocolate, campfires and anything pumpkin flavored or smells like pumpkin!
I wish that fall lasted 10 out of the 12 months (summer can have a month and winter can have a month for skiing)
So here's to wishing the year was full of Octobers! I'm off to drink my weight in more hot chocolate!
xoxo

Wild Child

These photos are from right before Tyler came home from his mission. I've been desperately wanting to create some new, more artistic photographs but I haven't had time lately! It's been driving me crazy!

But anyways, I've been thinking a lot about people lately.
People and myself.
Half of me loves people wants to learn every single thing about a person and what makes them unique. What makes them tick! I think that's the portrait photographer in me. Wanting to make connections with people and capture their true essence.
But the other half of me doesn't know how to feel about people. The more introverted part of myself.
It's a split personality dilemma.

Half of me is a city girl with a fiery zest for life.
A passion and a determination to adventure to the ends of the earth.
While the other half could very well be a hermit living in the mountains.
A wild child with a free spirit surrounded by peaceful forests.
